2355 Bay Street: Units 1 and 3
One of our regular clients found this incredible investment property and threw down a challenge – have a permit in hand and be swinging hammers in just one months time. Challenge accepted!
We delivered designs for all 4 units, including unit reconfigurations AND a 4th story addition in record time, and had permits ready to start for one of the units by their deadline. Each unit turned out beautifully. Two units were reconfigured to create 2 bed/ 2 bath layouts. (Previously 1 bed, 1 bath). And 2 of the units were expanded into luxurious townhouse units with 3 bedroom/ 3 bathroom layouts. The top unit expansion affords gorgeous views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and a new roof deck, tucked behind the existing clay tile roof looks out into the Bay and over the Palace of Fine Arts just a block away.

- Although we replaced all the finishes, we prioritized maintaining the historic character and quality of the units with more traditional trims, moldings, and a stunning herringbone hardwood floor. Our client’s wife decorated every unit including furniture, artwork, light fixtures, and bathroom vanities made from antique dressers she scored at flea markets. The overall feel is warm, welcoming, and homey.

- Shown here is one of the smaller units, a 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom unit we converted to a 2 bed/2 bath within the same footprint. The same beautiful finishes, flooring, and custom bath vanities grace this gorgeous unit.
